Point-Contact Andreev-Reflection Spectroscopy in Fe-Based Superconductors: Multigap Superconductivity and Strong Electron–Boson Interaction
We performed point-contact Andreev-reflection measurements in Ba(Fe1−xCox)2As2 single crystals (x = 0.1, Tc = 24.5 K) and SmFeAsO1−xFx polycrystals (x = 0.2, Tc = 52 K). The spectra indicate the presence of two superconducting gaps with no line nodes on the Fermi surface, but also feature additional structures related to the electron–boson interaction (EBI). From the spectra, it is possible to ...
متن کاملThe Herbertsmithite Hamiltonian: μSR measurements on single crystals.
We present transverse field muon spin rotation/relaxation measurements on single crystals of the spin-1/2 kagome antiferromagnet Herbertsmithite. We find that the spins are more easily polarized when the field is perpendicular to the kagome plane. We demonstrate that the difference in magnetization between the different directions cannot be accounted for by Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya-type interactio...
متن کاملMultigap Diffraction at LHC
The large rapidity interval available at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) offers an arena in which the QCD aspects of diffraction may be explored in an environment free of gap survival complications using events with multiple rapidity gaps. Presented at DIS-2005, XIIIth International Workshop on Deep Inelastic Scallering, April 27 May 1 2005, Madison, WI, U.S.A.
متن کاملMultigap discrete vector solitons.
We analyze nonlinear collective effects in periodic systems with multigap transmission spectra such as light in waveguide arrays or Bose-Einstein condensates in optical lattices. We reveal that the interband interactions in nonlinear periodic structures can be efficiently managed by controlling their geometry. We predict novel types of discrete vector solitons supported by nonlinear coupling be...
متن کاملPlasmon transport in graphene investigated by time-resolved electrical measurements
Plasmons, which are collective charge oscillations, could provide a means of confining electromagnetic field to nanoscale structures. Recently, plasmonics using graphene have attracted interest, particularly because of the tunable plasmon dispersion, which will be useful for tunable frequency in cavity applications. However, the carrier density dependence of the dispersion is weak (proportional...
